Scenic Boat Trips
First, A Little Bit about Maine’s Weather
Because weather is a key factor in the scheduling of our boats, occasionally we are forced to reschedule or cancel trips. It is for this reason that we suggest you call ahead of time to make sure that everything is on schedule – even if the weather looks great where you are, it may not be here. Canceled trips are, however, a rare occurrence; and more than likely everything is on track.

Scenic Breakfast Cruise

Nothing could be better than starting your day aboard Finestkind II with hot coffee, orange juice and a fresh baked muffin from Bread & Roses Bakery in downtown Ogunquit. Departing every morning, the Breakfast Cruise travels north along the tranquil morning waters of the Ogunquit shoreline to the Island Ledges; a habitat of harbor seals. Your tour guide will explain the many sights along the way and on the return trip to Perkins Cove give a brief discussion of lobsters and lobstering; more of which can be seen on the Lobstering Trip.
Nubble Lighthouse Cruise

Adult: $30 (cash bar on board)
Our longest cruise, this fourteen mile round trip offers unsurpassed views of York’s elegant homes and rocky coast. Enjoy your favorite beverage aboard the Finestkind III as you cruise leisurely to the lighthouse, and don’t forget your camera – as we circle the seldom seen back of the Nubble Lighthouse you will have breathtaking photo opportunities. Don’t miss this chance to see these beautiful views by boat!
Duration: 50 minutes
This trip combines the scenic beauty of Ogunquit’s shoreline with a first hand lobstering experience, aboard the Finestkind I. You will see traps hauled and lobsters caught by an authentic Maine lobsterman. Your tour guide will provide a detailed explanation of the lobster fishery and the many scenic points of interest along the way, providing you with many insights into life along our coast. Children will be thrilled to see the abundant sea life that comes up in the traps and everyone will come away with a deeper understanding of lobsters and their habitat.
Duration: 1 hour
Adult: $20 (cash bar on board)
Now is the time to relax and take a late afternoon cruise. Enjoy the rocky coast south of Perkins Cove to Bald Head Cliff and north along the Marginal Way and the Ogunquit Beach; or wait until the sun sets for a romantic cruise under the stars. Either way you’re sure to savor your time aboard the Finestkind.
Duration: 1 ¾ hours
Looking for something a little bit different? Look no further than Cricket Sailing Trips, a traditional wooden lobstering vessel common along the Maine coast about 100 years ago. U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain Grant Hubbard, an Ogunquit native, offers a lifetime of experience navigating the local coastline. Grant will sail you along the Ogunquit shoreline to Bald head Cliff in York and down to the Ogunquit beaches, using only sail and oar power. Perfect for families, couples, friends – anyone who enjoys a unique experience in a beautiful setting. Come out for a sail and see why so many make it part of their annual tradition.
